Marco Gercke Lecture Topics
Marco Gercke is an experienced speaker who prepares an individual lecture for each event. Organizers have the opportunity to discuss the main topics in a briefing meeting. Typical lecture topics are:
- Relevance for Board members and Managing Directors
- Impact on companies and decision-makers
- Simulations of cyber incidents
- Digitalization, machine learning, and artificial intelligence
- Impact of AI on the economy, society, and politics
- Current developments in the areas of cybersecurity and cybercrime
One focus of his work is the development of innovative approaches to combating a problem that has become a central issue for governments and companies in recent years: cybercrime. He has worked worldwide for the past 15 years and has unique insights and insider knowledge on the subject of cybersecurity.
In addition to entertaining and exciting lectures, Marco Gercke conducts so-called “cyber incident simulations” with governments and executives of large companies. These simulations of attacks, designed from the perspective of top management, enable participants to test their responsiveness.
His monograph “Understanding Cybercrime” has been translated into all UN languages.
Digitalization and its effects, particularly in relation to machine learning and artificial intelligence, are another focus of his work. In the 1990s, Marco Gercke founded a company that developed machine learning for the development of software solutions in the field of medical diagnostics. He himself was largely responsible for the development of the technology. His second company, a media agency, used machine learning and artificial intelligence for user interaction.
Today, his work focuses on advising international organizations and the boards of large companies on issues related to the opportunities and risks of digitalization and the use of artificial intelligence.
