Elmar Paulke is a German TV presenter and commentator known for his expertise in the sport of darts.

Elmar Paulke has been commentating on all darts broadcasts of the Professional Darts Association since 2004, and exclusively for the channel DAZN since 2018. He is known as ‘The Voice of Darts’.

As a man of the first hour, he made a significant contribution to the success story of darts in Germany. He is also a sought-after commentator and presenter in the German television landscape outside of darts and is used for the RTL entertainment shows ‘Der König der Kindsköpfe’, ‘Big Bounce’ and ‘Schlag den Star’ or the ‘Promi Darts WM’ on ProSieben, among others. He can be seen as co-presenter on ZDF Fernsehgarten, where he demonstrates another facet of his skills.

Born in Bergisch Gladbach, he regularly presents the German Football League for DAZN and was the host of the weekly DAZN football talk show ‘Der Spieltag’. He also hosts events and congresses and is the face and producer of the TV roadshows ‘Road to Ally Pally’.

Elmar Paulke - Darts as a way of managing mistakes

As a speaker, he makes the connection between darts and business life and leads and comments on the respective matches on the board as if it were the World Cup final in Ally Pally.

Elmar Paulke already has one foray into the film business on his CV. He made several cameo appearances in the successful Sky series ‘Die Wespe’. He also won the Bavarian Television Award for his 7-part documentary ‘Boris Becker - I did it my way’.

The all-rounder has published a number of books over the course of his career. For example, ‘Game On!’ and ‘Perfect Game’ became SPIEGEL bestsellers. In his weekly podcast of the same name, ‘Game On’, together with darts pro Florian Hempel, he talks about the tour events in professional darts, as well as the challenges of his own everyday life and current events in the world. In 2022, the podcast, which is available on all popular platforms, has more than half a million views. But that alone is not enough for the commentator: since 2020, Elmar Paulke has been launching his own darts on the market together with the manufacturer One80.

Elmar Paulke lives in the Munich area, is married and the father of several children. He is a passionate racing cyclist and recently successfully competed in the Arlberg Giro with 150 km and approx. 2,500 metres of altitude.
